More than 15 teams started the journey to turn their ideas into reality
Pre-incubation programme had a successful kick-off. The first workshop „Ideation and team building“ brought together 50 enthusiastic people from different schools.
As a result of the workshop number of fantastic ideas, such as thermo fabric, anti-icicle, fine-memory and animal detector were presented. Everybody had a chance to share interests and skills as well as form teams.
The 2nd workshop „Business model canvas“ was on March 3 and just formed teams started to make their first steps towards understanding their value proposition and potential customers. Pärnu IdeaLab leaders shared tips on how teams can reach their customers and test their hypothesis.
participants' feedback this type of workshop enables to analyze an idea from different perspectives and create thorough business models. During the following weeks customer needs and hypothesis must be tested and adjustments made to business models. At the end of the month teams present their ideas to Idea Lab experts to get feedback and mentor's guidance. In order to sound clear and structured pitching skills are practiced on March 17.

Students competed for prizes at the Kaleidoskoop Finals
Kaleidoskoop, the biggest student pitching competition in South Estonia, reached the finals: five student teams presented their business ideas at the Startup Day business festival, held from 25 to 27 August.
UT Startup Lab proves that entrepreneurial education is possible online
Starter Tartu spring programme comes to an end with the spring semester. This semester was a challenge for both the Startup Lab and the students, because instead of physical meetings, all activities were organised online. Nevertheless, a large number of enterprising students completed the programme.
